We can organize for you to have a telephone consultation. Please be assured that if it is necessary to see you in person we will do so. Your doctor will discuss this with you and together you can make the decision that best meets your needs whilst keeping everyone as safe as possible.

Saturday - 9am-2pm
Sunday and some Public Holidays- Closed

When it’s time to head overseas, we’re your travel doctor too, with advice and vaccinations including Yellow Fever.

Village Family Medical Centre is a Mixed Billing Practice and therefore we charge fees for most services. Children under 16 years, adults over 75 years, Pensioner Concession Card Holders and DVA card holders will be bulk billed for most services (there are exceptions).

PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO BULK BILLING FOR TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS OR WEEKEND CONSULTATIONS.

Southern Cross Podiatry, a community-based podiatry clinic, offers a commitment to provide a high standard of care at affordable prices. Our foot clinics were established to allow all individuals of any age or background to get quality podiatry services. Our fully qualified and registered podiatrists take a client-first approach to everything they do, ensuring all care provided is tailored to the needs of each individual.

Fees and Charges
We are a Private Billing Clinic.
EPC referrals do attract a Medicare Rebate which can be deposited into your bank account.
DVA clients will be Bulk Billed.

What is Podiatry?

A Podiatrist focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of the health of your feet. We often see patients who are suffering from:

What is Mixed Billing?

What is Mixed Billing?
Mixed billing means that most patients will now pay a ‘gap payment’ for appointments. A gap payment is an out of pocket cost that is the difference between the Practice’s Private fee and your Medicare rebate.

Some patients will continue to be Bulk Billed :
Children 12 years and under, Adults 70 years and over, and DVA card holders.

Patient’s eligible for a concession:
Full-Time students with a valid student card, Health Care Card Holders and Pension Card Holders.

This decision has been made after careful consideration and with mixed emotions. We have delayed making these changes for some time now but the reality is the returns we receive from Medicare simply do not cover the costs of operating a General Practice -especially a practice that prides itself on providing the highest quality of Primary Healthcare as we do.

We are committed to maintaining and improving the quality of care we provide and we are taking this step so we can continue to serve our community.
